Court 3 subfloor needs to be levelled before it is replaced.  We're getting quotes for the work.  It should happen at the end of June/beginning of July.

We have a new Captain (Richard Avery) and Vice Captain (Jonathon Bomford).

The juniors did rather well at the county award ceremony at Stourport a couple of weeks ago.  Clare Heneghan was awarded £35 and the Brooke Oldman cup for 'The Junior who made the Greatest Contribution to Worcestershire Squash'.  Previous winners include the likes of Richard Buffery!

Charlotte Campbell, Lauren Campbell, Sophia Davidson, Clare Heneghan and David Sillence were all awarded the Worcestershire Colours for representing the County last season.

The Club Championship will take place on the 4th-6th and 11th-13th June. If you would like to enter, please write your names on the notice on the notice board, or email me.

The Junior Squash Section meets on Saturday mornings.  The younger ones' session is from 10:30 to 11:30; the older ones' session is from 11:45 to 12:45.  There is also a mid-week session - Wednesdays at 16:30.  Enquiries to Errol. 

The squash ladders are stagnating a bit - probably because the ladder is behind the coke machine!  We'll get the coke machine removed and that that should give us back our ladders and notice board.

I (Paul Heneghan) do a squash racket stringing service.

Stringing prices range from £9.00 for cheap synthetic gut to £18.00 for 1.1, 1.2 or 1.3mm Tecnifibre Classic.  Gut can occasionally be obtained for about £20.

Grommet strips usually cost £5.00 and need to be replaced every couple of restrings or so.

A 24-hour turnaround is often possible for urgent cases.

Steve Porter also offers a stringing service through the club shop.

I have persuaded Richard Avery (our new captain) to take over the running of the squash leagues.  When he's settled in, I'll hand over the documentation and we'll get it going again.
